Museum of Flight TripGROUP TRIPS

The Center offers a wide variety of diverse and interesting trips to nearby points of interest. The trip sign-up and payment policy is listed after the trip offerings.

For all center trips carpooling is not allowed. This policy deals with safety, insurance, training, and more. Thank you and please enjoy our numerous trips.

July Trips

The Red Hat Scarlett Belles is a group of women who greet age with humor, amusement, and energy. Attend the Red Hat Meeting on the 1st Monday of each month for additional trip details.

Rehersals are every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday in August for the Students of Introduction to Musical Theater participating in the production of “The Odyssey”. Students using the van should RSVP at the center to join this series of trips. These trips are only available for those participating in “The Odyssey”.

Come on a pretty summer day and drive to the Swinomish Casino for a day of fun and games. A lovely setting. Fun games and slots and table games. Enjoy lunch at one of the restaurants and bring additional money for food and entertainment.

Monday, August 14th—La Conner

A.B.L.E.: Aging Ballard Lesbian Exchange is heading to the beautiful La Conner for shopping and a great time. To learn more about this group join ABLE on the 4th Thursday of the month.

Paradise is famous for its glorious views and wild flower meadows. Come on a lovely day trip to this beautiful place and also enjoy the Parks Main Visitor Center, the new Paradise Jackson Visitor Center which offers information, exhibits, the new park film, guided ranger programs, and book & gift shop. You will see beautiful meadows, lakes, and viewpoints. Lunch will be at the historic Paradise Inn and features a wide variety of burgers, salads, sandwiches, soups, and more. Prices range from around $10 to $25 for lunch items. A lovely day at the glorious Mount Rainier. Bring additional money for food and extras.

A summer night at Anthony’s Beach Café in Edmonds. With unparalleled views of Puget Sound and ferry boats. A casual restaurant featuring fresh NW seafood and outside dining when weather permits. A perfect place for our August dine out. Bring additional money for food.

A summer drive to Bellingham along the Chuckanut Highway with a stop in nearby Edison for a morning cinnamon roll at either Breadfarm or Farm to Market Bakery. Then a quick stop at Smith & Vallee Gallery housed in a restored, turn of the century schoolhouse—then it is on to Chuckanut Drive, a beautiful scenic two lane road with great views takes you right into old Fairhaven. Visit the shops, bookstore, galleries, and enjoy lunch at the Mambo Italian Café. After a full day head back to the center after an ice cream stop. Bring extra money for food and shopping.

Sunday, August 27th, 10:00am-5:00pm

Enjoy a delicious lunch at Snoqualmie’s Black Dog, and then board the Northwest Railway at 1:00pm for a round trip two hour scenic train ride from Snoqualmie to North Bend with a visit to the Railway History Center. Enjoy beautiful views from the train as it visits the top of the valley. Afterwards stop to visit your old or new 268 foot NW friend, Snoqualmie Falls, before returning to the center. Bring additional money for food.

Capture Seattle scenes with your camera. Trips are scheduled for the last Tuesday of each month. Join the Photography Group each Tuesday at 1:30pm for trip information.

Featuring a 24-hour casino and a full-service spa and health club, Silver Reef Hotel Casino Spa is in Ferndale. You can enjoy a variety of cuisines at any of the nine on-site dining options between relaxing at the pool and trying your luck with the games. Bring additional money for food and entertainment.

Fee: $27 Members / $54 Members
Thursday, September 21st, 9:00am-3:00pm

Ride in vehicles from the Collection. Experience history in motion! Participants will wait in line for the start of this event at 11:00am. Vehicles will vary and may be a selection from Antiques and pre-war Classics to from the Fabulous Fifties, perhaps a fire truck may make a special appearance! After taking a spin, enjoy viewing this amazing collection of vehicles. Bring additional money for lunch at the museum café.


Trip Sign-up and Payment Policy

  • When you sign up for a trip you must pay a $5 non-refundable trip fee.  If the trip is $5 or less than $5, then you just pay that.
  • Final payment is due one week prior to the trip.  Final payment is the cost of the trip less the $5 deposit.  If final payment is not made, you forfeit your seat and deposit.
  • If you cancel your reservation less than one week before the trip is to depart, you forfeit your entire payment unless we can fill your space or you are canceling for certified illness.
  • If the trip is cancelled, deposits and payments will be refunded.
  • Deposits, payments, and refunds are not exchangeable or interchangeable.  Refunds are prepared after the trip date.
